There is a similar discussion in regards to rowing. Why surround yourself with the filth that is common in waterways around metro areas to go rowing when you can use a waterrower at home?

An interesting article.
Looks like the gym in question is well equipped.
You can only train as hard as your equipment lets you.
If you compromise on the quality of your gym equipment, you can increase the risk of low-intensity workouts or injury.
Always check the condition of machines before you start a workout in a gym.
Never assume that everything is in good working order before you start.
