Unfortunately, too many elderly drivers just pull out in front of oncoming traffic. I have to wonder if they can't judge speed and distance or just assume that the oncoming driver(s) will avoid hitting them. This happens all the time here in Roseburg and could easily help reduce the number of accidents like this.

This is a perfect example of where neighborhood arbitration would be of benefit. Instead we have some person take it upon themselves to execute an animal, without even letting the owners know there was a problem.

Yes, animal owners have a responsibility to keep their pets on their property, licensed, neutered and spayed (which helps with "roaming"), but it is wrong morally and I believe in this case, legally for a person to kill another's pet...based solely on their word about the cats "attacking" his rabbits. Rabbits are prey for dogs, coyotes, hawks, owls, etc.

What this guy did is just being reactionary and cruel...not just to the cats, but also the owners!

Your comment "If your woman is not so inclined as to follow you out the door then it is time to look for a new woman" implies that you approve of the the actions of the man arrested. Trying re-reading your comment from the perspective of a woman. Or if possible, trying placing yourself in the position of the girlfriend who was being forced by the drunk to leave and re-read your statement.

Since you are a "traveler of time and space", perhaps you might travel back to school and learn to write clearly...and not just assume that your reader can read your mind.

As to my age...I am old enough to be your mother or grandmother and old enough to not have to use graphics to make statement while trolling.

Then perhaps you should attempt to write statements that don't imply that it is OK for a man to attempt to force a woman physically to do something she clearly doesn't want to do. There are, after all, people who do read these articles days and weeks later who are going to call you on your ignorant statements.

My heart aches for this young woman and for the family of the young man, and every family who has lost a loved one while in service to their country. One has to ask themselves how many lives must be lost and hearts broken in senseless/endless wars? When will mankind ever learn?

This is a case where I believe in forced sterilization of a woman and why I am in favor of abortion rights.

If you truly don't want kids, don't want the responsibility or are incapable of supporting children...DON'T BRING THEM INTO THE WORLD only to abuse, neglect or murder them!
