It looks like it rolls things in a sine wave pattern. And it is very smooth - perhaps so things don't stick to it .

Maybe some of pasta or dough roller?

If we can detect and block the spam, why can't we generate our own spam with which to reply to the spam we detected?

Too much potential for abuse I guess. Someone would post something that looked like spam and referenced <redacted>, and <redacted> would then get buried in system generated gibberish. Then again who would notice?
