Whether he had body armor on or not (He didnt) is irrelevent. 5 shots to the chest at close range with any caliber larger than a .380 will stop the attacker.

It may not kill him, but the bullet impact against his vest is not like what you see on TV where they take the hit and keep going. In real life, its like getting kicked in the chest by a horse. 5 times, in quick succession.

You don't just shrug that off. You go down, with the wind knocked out of you, wondering WTF just happened.

No, he's saying the same thing we all are. There will ALWAYS be bad people.

ALWAYS. No matter what social programs you make, no matter how you try to change it, there will be bad people.

And if they try to be bad people to me, or my family, I want the ability to protect them.

Period. There is no other answer.

I find it pointless to argue with idiots. They always bring me down to their level and beat me with experience.

Yep, this article totally is favoring the criminal. He was a previous convict, and he was a dirtbag that tried to rob people at gunpoint. He deserves everything he got.

I would bet money that they release him before he dies of old age. It's unfortunate, but I've seen it time and time again.

That depends on your definition of "Farm". If you lump in all the organic and small time places that make food for fruit markets and such, sure, farms are small.

If you are counting commercial grade farms that are growing grains, peas, potatoes, ect, they are FAR FAR bigger.

Yea, my two year old could.

Shes led around a dog many times. It wouldn't be that much of a stretch to tie a dog to a tree.

Letting him starve is just NOT feeding him. It doesn't take effort.

I was just pointing out the logical fallacies of your statement that "He was smart enough to tie him to a tree".

Logic. Try it sometime.

Reading comprehension. Learn some.

I didn't say he knew it was wrong. I said the important part is that he LEARNS what he did was wrong.

Considering you misread what I said, you might want to keep those thoughts to yourself.

I think it does. 90 days on house arrest really isnt that much of a punishment. The important part of this is that the guy learns that what he did was wrong and doesn't get to do it again.

This guy will probably not see jail time, and even if he does, I'm ok with it. He's slow, but knew that starving his animal would kill it.

With the lenient judges in this state, I'm sure that if he was unable to be held accountable for his actions, the charges would have been thrown out.
