yeahright: We have fixed that incomplete sentence that you referred to in your comment. It was the 2008 Northwest Folklife Festival, and two bystanders were injured in the shooting.

In answer to your question, endamidyk: Lindsay didn't write the headline - the quote was from one of the people she interviewed. Since it seemed to be a distraction to some people, I replaced it with another quote that is grammatically pure and still makes the same point.

Also, I'd like to point out that her name is spelled Lindsay (with an "a"). And thanks for your comment!

In answer to your question: The Washington State Patrol didn't mention in its original report that the driver of the Celica was hit by a state trooper. When KOMO talked to the State Patrol later, they disclosed that information, and we updated our story.
