So because I am liberal, you think I feel like money comes out of thin air? I am a systems engineer, I make six figures and I spend my money on whatever I want. I actually contribute back to the local economy. I live in west seattle and work downtown. You are the one who hates seattle and refuses to come downtown. So i still do not comprehend what your arguement is about.

You are correct, I am thick brained. You are thick skulled though. The benefit of having 2 hour parking will open up parking spots for other patrons. What is your theory for seahawks and mariners fans who park along the waterfront all day, thus denying parking to waterfront shoppers and business patrons? Those business owners get nothing from sports fans who only park along the waterfront for access to the stadiums.

Property taxes are paid by the property owners, not gasoline tax or sales tax. Business owners along the waterfront are not losing money because of parking; they have lost money because of reduced traffic and access to the waterfront.

You do not know what you are talking about. Maybe you should go find the right story to complain about; something like the viaduct and tunnel construction.

So tell me, who is we? Every citizen in the city of seattle; cyclists, pedestrians, etc all pay taxes. Gasoline taxes, are dictated by the state, not the city. So, motorists in western washington pay gas taxes that benefit the entire state, as do those in eastern washington.

Since you do not live in the city of seattle, and refuse to come to the city of seattle, you pay no city sales or municpal tax here, so you in fact do not pay the majority of taxes, therefore, no I will not miss you when you take your $ elsewhere.

Residents of king county pay a nearly 10% sales tax...(drum roll) that does what? Benefits the entire county.
Where do you come up with this logic? There is no critical thinking involved!

I know quite a few people who work downtown; myself included. Those who do work downtown either take the bus, cycle or use light rail. Those who do drive, are usually management or high salaried employees such as attorneys and other professionals that negotiate parking passes in garages with employers. I work downtown, I would know.

these self-entitled individuals like seattlekc, believe that they should have free unlimited parking given to them as a right. Their argument contradicts itself; because in their own words, they hate coming to seattle, yet they argue about having free unlimited parking in seattle.

The more this guy continues his charade, the more he outlines the debate in our favor.

The "lefty anti-car crusade"? Well, I am a flaming eco-liberal, with a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4, TRD package with oversized tires that I love driving. I love scaring people when it snows cause I drive like an idiot. I also have a Ducati Monster 750 that I ride all the time, in the city.

As far as your theory about this euro-style pedestrian concept? Well embracing a car-only culture has gotten us real far hasnt it? Typical conservative; no logic, no critical thinking ability.
