There are many shows who have lower ratings than MLP and there all still on the air. Plus has anyone checked out how many folks purchased the iTunes and Google Play versions instead of watching it on Discovery like myself. Not to mention the YouTube rips? How many views do the YouTube rips get before there removed? Also look at the revenue pony brings in just from merchandise. Last I heard Hasbro girls division was doing well since it was being propped up by MLP in the press report.

So this year's season opener averaged 542,000 viewers for the two episodes. Not bad! It would have been cool to break the record of 733,000. But oh well. Finales are usually larger anyways. We still have a chance with this year's finale. :D
