There are many shows who have lower ratings than MLP and there all still on the air. Plus has anyone checked out how many folks purchased the iTunes and Google Play versions instead of watching it on Discovery like myself. Not to mention the YouTube rips? How many views do the YouTube rips get before there removed? Also look at the revenue pony brings in just from merchandise. Last I heard Hasbro girls division was doing well since it was being propped up by MLP in the press report.

So this year's season opener averaged 542,000 viewers for the two episodes. Not bad! It would have been cool to break the record of 733,000. But oh well. Finales are usually larger anyways. We still have a chance with this year's finale. :D

Actually that is urban myth and any recording engineer will tell you that. Why would I record a 24-bit Wav file, then go to the extra work to make two separate files one for CD and one for vinyl? That would be a waste of time and money. Recording engineers have always said that both formats get the same master. Most newer recordings always sound better on CD compared to vinyl. Where as older recordings sound better on Vinyl since they were recorded in a analog format and tailored to vinyls strengths and weaknesses. CD's did not exist back then. So those older recordings tend to be ported directly over and are than mastered through a process that cleans the artifacting of the original recording that tends to leave a more flat less life like sound to them. But with newer recordings this isn't the case. And most CD's are created from uncompressed 24-bit Wav masters that are then dithered down to the CD to maximize there full potential. CDs are technologically superior to vinyl records. Mathematically they are actually superior In most ways. CD's offer greater dynamic range. CDs also dont deteriorate with each subsequent play. CDs don't introduce artifacting into the audio in which vinyl records do either. CD's also offer greater and more accurate stereo separation.

To bad the the vinyl version doesn't sound as good as digital. But then all new vinyl records are created from a 24-bit digital recordings anyways. A CD release would sound best.

You have to realize that America is twice the size of the European Union. And when your country has had the world's largest economy for decades, it's easy not to think beyond your borders. America also has 320 million people, which makes it the 3rd most populated country on Earth. And unlike other countries, we don't get your TV, or media broadcast here, save for a few rare exceptions like the BBC. And that is only available on certain cable packages. Hollywood is also in America. And so we have always been the center of focus for movies and such. So this is why you see so much of Americans mentality. It's not intentional. But Americans tend to be busy focusing on there own day to day lives. EQD is also headquartered in the US. So you see that train of thought brought to America's companies like Hasbro and EQD. But also keep in mind that many countries also have different laws and regulations that companies have to deal with. And that takes time. There is also different culture's and languages they have to contend with. So there are many factors.
