Without Lidge’s performance last year the Phillies would not have won a World Championship. So it was huge for them.

The best deal in Mets’ history? Well the Mets would not have won a World Championship in 1986 without Keith Hernandez. So just amend that statement to “one of the best deals in Mets’ history.”

Here’s a trivia question where every Mets fan knows the answer. What was the best pick out of a hat in Mets history?

That’s the same read I got. He was referring to the other poster. It’s a shame people here are so ready to insult and demean their fellow Mets fans without taking the time and trouble to try and comprehend what they read.

The 1982 Atlanta Braves started the season 13-0 and afterwards went 76-73 yet managed to win their division by 1 game. Also if one team gets incredibly hot and opens a large lead the other teams find themselves swimming upstream for the season with little margin for error.

Just like they should show some patience with the team you should show some patience with the fans. They’re also upset that players on other teams trash talk the Mets and then laugh and celebrate on the Mets home turf (Bell, the Marlins at the end of the past two seasons, etc.).

Thus they outscored the opposition in the last two series by 5 runs. So how can you say they have problems with their offense? Just because they lost 4 out of 6 ……….
