It's funny, because I had that thought when my firstborn was about 2. I thought "I wonder if Jesus was constantly getting into stuff, etc, etc." Then, God led me to a stamp (I used to do alot of scrapbooking, etc) that showed a toddler Jesus in Joseph's workshop. He's playing with the nails. It's so very symbolic of many things, but I've always loved this picture ever since. I tried to look it up and it's a humongo link, but here it is...

Very well written! It's funny, but everyone has different tastes. I like a blog with a bit of writing (not a ton of essays that I can't read in a few minutes time, seeing that I have 3 kids under 7 years old) a few pics, is clean looking, and is well-written. I also like a blog that is somewhat humorous, but, most of all, real. I do not like Martha Stewart imitators who I cannot relate with. One piece of information that you can take or leave... I have a free blog with wordpress.com right now. I was REALLY wanting to do Google follow to make it easy for subscribers; however, I can't right now. I've found that, though, when I'm visiting a new blog, my eyes go over the side and immediately notice how many followers that person has. That might be a bad thing, though, because one automatically assumes a large number of followers equals a great blog. So, I think sometimes a Google Followers widget can come back to bite you!

That's a wonderful dream! You definitely have a gift for writing. I must say, though, the older I get (I'm in my mid-30s) the more I realize that God's plan for us isn't always one definitive thing but the way that He uses our talents/abilities in the season of life that we are currently in. He is certainly using you in the bloggy world! Looking forward to hear what exciting things come from Courtney Kirkland in the coming days in Alaska!

You articulate your thoughts so well! I'm sure alot of women can identify with your post (me as well) and appreciate your honesty. Wow... can't say that I'll be that honest in my #3 post because of people I know personally who read my blog, but I so admire your transparency. Thanks Courtney!

Wow, falling asleep while getting your brows waxed... hmm. Can't say that's ever happened to me. I'd say you need a few evenings of going to bed when your kid(s) go to bed!

Now that I've been a mom for 7 years, we've finally gotten around to scheduling regular "me" times. Most every Tuesday night I go out on my own and do shopping, take photos, read, or whatever. It's heavenly! And, it makes me a better wife and mother when I do that and can give more to others!

<3 God bless you as you navigate the next couple of months without your hubby. You need a break! :) I mean, I feel all of the above almost everyday, but I thankfully have my hubby walking in the door at 5:30 most evenings and I can get a little relief. You are being strengthened even though it may not feel like it at times! I so appreciate your honesty and am enjoying your blog. I finally link up a 30 Days post (1st one), so we'll see how this goes! Have a wonderful day and do something special with your little man today...

Awww... maybe people do what they did in Indiana (yes, I know, Alaska is much farther North than IN) but we'd wear our snow boots somewhere and then change into our heels once we got inside (work, church, etc). Anyway, you've gotten alot of cute things for you and your little man! I know what you mean about doctor visits. I hate going and haven't been since my youngest was born (2 years ago) and that was to my OB/Gyn, so my "family doctor" wouldn't have a clue who I was!

I enjoyed your post, especially the one about losing dress sizes immediately after taking off the huge layers. How many people can say that they've lived in Alaska? What an exciting thing to check off your "someday" list and what a huge learning experience for your little man! :)
