You can find the Complete Tales of Uncle Remus online with the introduction included on Google Books.

I think the book definitely has great value as a part of American history and folklore. The author was racist and paternalistic, but I don't find the stories reflect this sensibility. The film does reflect a racist attitude, though.

If the author of this list had actually READ the introduction to Uncle Remus he would know that Joel Chandler Harris thought slavery was a great institution and imagined that Uncle Remus had "nothing but pleasant memories of the discipline of slavery."

I must have forgotten them because I removed my tin-foil cap and the CIA's brain erasing gamma ray erased them from my memory.
I'm glad the internet was invented so all of these organizations could finally be exposed in grainy youtube videos, blogs and message boards.

The Mayans did not set their calendar to infinity, therefore the world will experience a cataclysmic event in 2012.

You know it has to be true when the Internet and Youtube videos are cited.

Churchill's non-stutter is well-documented here: http://www.winstonchurchill.org/learn/myths/myths...

Great list, well done.

I guess it's too much to ask for someone brilliant enough to propose the idea of bat bombs to anticipate that the testing of such a weapon might result in the burning of area buildings.

Damn, I can't refute that.

My uncle had a stutter, he got hit by a car and it pretty well disappeared.

What I'm trying to say is that there should be clinical trials with speech therapists running down stutterers with automobiles.

Oh, and interesting read. Not sure Churchill could be classified as a stutterer if it was "refuted."

Too bad about the lack of opposable thumbs though.
