She's way more of a trooper than I was. Sounds like she actually not only welcomed them into the house but even provided food! Of course, it WAS your birthday, so I suppose she probably didn't feel she had much a choice : ) How funny!

This was so funny!!! The great part about it is, when I got to the picture, all I thought was, "Wow, he son is a very talented illustrator!" He also might be seriously ADHD, but he's also seriously smart!! You better be bringing this story up at every chance you get after he hits puberty. It's pure bribery gold!

You somehow took chaos and placed it in an orderly fashion into words that became amazing snippets of life. I seriously hope you never stop writing and that you get something - anything! - published. Thanks Jenny. You are right on. One of the most important things to me is self-care. If I don't take care of myself and keep a good balance of the activities in which I'm involved, then I can't be there for others. So every so often, I need to reassess my activities and rebalance everything, letting go of some things, reducing the time I spend on certain activities, increasing others. And it's so good to know that if I return, I would not be forgotten. Thank you!
