I really enjoyed this book and probably wouldn't have read it if not for this blog, so thanks, Mark. Even though parts of this book left me heartbroken, it was such a wonderful and powerful story and I'm really glad I that I took the time to read it. I'm looking forward to reading His Dark Materials along with you next!

I have been reading this along with you, Mark, and I have not read ahead yet, but I am finding it extremely difficult at this point especially when I read the next chapter title: The End of the World Part II.

I was so upset that Liesel kept missing the opportunity to kiss Rudy before he dies, but I think that deep down he knows how she feels. I can't believe there are only 20 pages left of this book. I'm still hoping we'll see Max again before it ends.
