I am of the liking of this idea. Let us add Wander over Yonder and Adventure Time as well, thought complexity-plot-wise, Wander is more slapstick traditional cartoon.

The other Aria anime were pretty nice. It's a very laid-back, slice-of-life, feel good and relaxing anime series. I read the manga waaay back when they were first translated and sold in the US and really enjoyed them.
I FREAKING LOVED Banjo-Kazooie. The gameplay, the atmosphere, the super-catchy songs, all of it!
I absolutely loved Psycho Pass, I'm now following their second season. I love me so psychological thriller action
I'm very bored by many of the typical anime tropes/cliches so it usually takes me a while to find something that includes very little to none of those things. That being said, the last anime I watched that fulfilled these requirements of mine was Psycho Pass. It's a pretty serious anime, set into the near future, involving predicting crime. Rather than being pre-crime involving premonitions of the future a la Minority Report, it uses this futuristic analyzing system that can, in a few seconds, build a pyschological profile (or psycho pass)of a person and based on stress levels, predict that that person has a higher propensity for committing a crime, all based around a color or hue system. The investigators/enforcers have these special guns that can read the psycho pass of a person and depending on how high it is, will either go into a stun mode or an over-the-top kill mode. The story is very psychological itself and delves into some great deep issues. If you can't tell, I was blown away by it, check it out if you like futuristic psychological thrillers :)
