it's...two days later now? And every 30 minutes I'm still like "Hillary Clinton wrote for the Toast!"

I missed the original comments but if it's what I'm guessing I am hyperventilating with excitement for you.

Not a piece, but one of my favorite toast memories is the post where we all talked about the books we hated. I was HOWLING with laughter, and I still go back and read all those comments occasionally.

I'm so late, too, but I'm going to write this anyway - and maybe I will get the opportunity to write it again later this week. The Toast has made me both tougher, and kinder. More abrasive when necessary, but also gentler when necessary . A better friend, and a happier person. A more confident person. Incredibly, this online community has allowed me to handle many awkward social situations with more tact and grace.

I was a casual Hairpin reader, but when my sister forwarded me A Day in the Life of an Empowered Female Heroine I dove straight in and never looked back.

Burn it to the ground. I think about you and your campaign a lot, even though I am nowhere near your area. How is it going? How will we get updates!? Are you on the toastie slack?

I got some great recs from the toast when I went to DC a few months ago, but the best was to have dinner at rose's luxury (budget permitting) . Best meal of life. There's a line situation, but it's worth it.

They EXCHANGE XMAS CARDS? No. No no no. (I'm so late to this, but feel strongly that this is disgusting)
