Your friend's designs are much better and alleviate most of my issues with the original design. I'd love to see them 'shopped onto the CMC to fully compare, but I like what I see already.

I started off apologetic, and the only people putting words into anyone's mouths is you and francis. I'm just describing your own words and actions, but if I'm doing that now then it's only because I'm following your example.

Thank you for destroying what was left of a depressed person's passion with your rotten attitudes. I'm sure you feel so proud.

It's interesting how people will reveal how nasty they can be when a person apologetically opens up to issues and wants help and support, but won't just blindly echo the sentiments people want to hear.

Want to know why I'm "dramatic"? Look in a mirror. It doesn't hurt that people keep responding in ways that give me reasons to be. That's like kicking someone down to the ground and asking them why they're complaining that you did that to them.

I WANTED to like Bayonetta, I LIKE action games, I raised EXAMPLES of an action game I've played where I didn't have any issues, but in Bayonetta 2's demo I DID and wasn't sure WHY and wanted SUPPORT and ENCOURAGEMENT so I might want to try again.

But please, by all means ignore that and label me further. All you're really doing is saying "you don't sound like you're fully supporting us, therefore you're against us".

I asked you to kindly leave me alone. The only true drama queen is you; picking on gamers for having issues and straw-manning what they say in order to promote your rhetoric.

If part of the operation was to destroy even the apologetic gamers who were unsure or struggling, then you've helped achieve that.

Now you're just resorting to straw-manning and putting words into my mouth.

Your attitude reflects poorly on you, your site, and on gamers as a whole.

I'm sorry I ever thought that this was one of the last decent gaming sites on the web.

I'm super depressed now and would kindly request you leave me alone. I won't post ever again if you do, thus you can feel like you've won. You've chased away another potential buyer and a passionate gamer.

I like DMC because I had time to grow at the series and found that the latest game did a decent job seguing people into the new and changed mechanics, even on normal, with additional difficulties for those that found it too easy.

You seem so determined to defend this game's honour and label me in order to make yourself feel better about issues people might have with the game, and it reflects poorly on you and this site as a whole.

You really haven't inspired me to try again; quite the opposite. If you're trying to encourage people to game and to try new things or give them another go, then you're going about it in an extremely poor way. Why should I spend the valuable time and energy forcing myself to record me playing a game I already have a negative experience with that's been exacerbated by the response from those who defend it?

Also the fact that one of my previous comments is still awaiting moderation is very telling that you simply don't like what I have to say, so you're trying to silence me and negate my opinion.

I have an issue with the "casual" label and how you're framing me with it. I read about, talk about, and think about games and gaming often. I also play as much as I can, though not every game, and not always.

No I'm not an expert gamer; I don't live for maximum difficulty and having my abilities tested all the time, but I play games and like a fair challenge.

You seem to be trying to hard to defend the game as "too good for you", but really the game should be trying its best to accommodate players by explaining its mechanics and quirks clearly and giving the player a chance to adjust, as I explained in my previous comments, and clarified further in one that is still awaiting moderation.

Part of the problem is I wanted to like this game, and I'm not new to action games, though not an expert either. Everyone was so enthused and I saw this as "Nintendo's DMC", which sounded fun.

I think everyone's so worried about it selling poorly and that reflecting on the quality of the game, that if you're not a hyped day-oner then there's something wrong with you.

It's concerning to me.

Looking back through this thread you probably had one of the most reasonable responses to my quandary, so thanks for that.

I also tried the W101 demo and didn't care for it, but the person who I admitted that to on Youtube was actually rather reasonable about it, stating that at least I tried the demo and most don't.

I died once to the larger angel on the plane at the beginning, was resurrected, then again to the one while riding the train.
