I LOVE this episode! A entire season of barely keeping their heads above water, and finally the President realizes that this isn't what he wanted, and it certainly isn't what his staff signed up for. So he decides to go down with his convictions rather than chase re-election by waffling in the center. I know I'm just recapping, but it's SO good!

And yeah, this show is very liberal and very idealistic (not that those two have to go hand in hand, but here they do). But as much as it makes me pine for the current state of things in American politics, I just eat it up. I'd vote for Bartlet : )

Can't believe we're at the end : ( And like the anime it is a grand, bittersweet moment, as we rejoice in the wonderful story that's been told but lament its passing. But no regrets! Pain and tears yes, but I never tire of relieving this story, especially with friends!

I'm not even going to bother with specifics since so many people are better (and quicker) than I, so I'll just say that my heart is fit to burst after this last stretch of episodes and that it's been a heckuva ride sharing the experience with all of you. XD This is the anime that made me love anime, and it reigns supreme as #1 on my all-time list. And it provided me with my favorite quote EVER, which I honestly do try to live out every day of my life. So to you all, I say...

May those who accept their fate be granted happiness. May those who defy their fate be granted glory.

I think it's ambiguous enough to say this without spoilers, but I am going to SOB when I watch the end of this series. Then I'll read Mark's reaction and everyone's comments and sob some more.

Then I'm going to realize that one of the best fandom experiences/communities I've ever been a part of is, in some way, disbanding, and then I'll REALLY lose it. Note to self: buy Kleenex this weekend.
