I hadn't heard of kefir milk! I've heard of Kimbucha (sp?) which I think is a similar process but people make sweet fizzyish drinks? Anyway, the scoby sounds fascinating! And the research into cancer prevention does too!
BTW, just saw you've been blogging since 2005! Nearly 10 years, Trish! You are such a champion and inspiration on so many levels. I'll never forget how lovely and inviting you were when I first started out.

I LOVE the alternate options! I have been looking for a way to deal with Roo's anger that lets her know it's ok to be angry, but in the right way! I think I'll be giving this book a look see! Thanks Julie!

I think this is such a great initiative! My kids are ABC kids mostly. When the cricket isn't on... I think the cricket would probably be the fattiest rating for junk tv! All those KFC ads!

I just went and did the quiz and my love language was Physical Touch, which wasn't a surprise at all. My husbands was Words of Affirmation, which was a little surprising, I thought he would be a gift love language person!

My boys (21 months) are absolutely in love with "That's Not My Tractor" and "Where Is the Green Sheep?". Roo is LOVING One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr Seuss at the moment. LOVING it!
I love the sound of Hug, it sounds like such a good teaching and verbalising tool!

I love this as well! It's so so true! We encourage our children to be kind to others and to themselves, and then turn around and give the opposite example. Beautifully written!
