"Skank"? And you all wonder why the left thinks you're a bunch of sexists? I know you're a woman, but hey, maybe it's just a case of Stockholm Syndrome.

On whether or not all hetero sex is rape, and if so, how much time should every single sexually active heterosexual man have to serve in prison for his heinous crimes?

A blog recommendation;

Should a rape victim have to pay child support for a child conceived during an alleged rape?

On "Sugar Daughters," and my thoughts on whether or not we should be concerned with the young women who are choosing to exchange sexual relationships with much older men for a monthly allowance.

On how that stupid Newsweek cover picture of Bachmann was NOT sexist. FFS. With examples;

On American aristocracy and the return of prosperity. A guest post by Thomas Dufour;

We discuss porn, yet again, because it seems to be on our minds quite a bit lately. This time, about respect, disrespect, and certain sexual proclivities;

Another round of the weird-ass things people Google to get to ethecofem.

I Blame the Patriarchy had a post up recently about the common radfem notion that all heterosexual sex is rape, without exception. I was fed up and posted a sarcastic rebuttal to the idea: http://www.ethecofem.com/2011/07/how-much-time-sh...

I'm totally shocked that Breitbart's appearance at Netroots was reported completely inaccurately. Interesting how that keeps happening, over and over and over and over and over and over again. What a coincidence that he came in during a long lunch break during which time the vast majority of NN attendees were not in the Convention Center, so that there weren't a ton of people around to witness the actual event for themselves, so he could try and get away with lying about the so-called "mob." Also weird how he must have forgotten that he tried to get into the paid area and whined that he wasn't allowed in.

What a bunch of crap. I, along with several others who came back from lunch early, witnessed something very different than what Hannity and Breitbart are pretending happened.

Six Feet Under!! I got into the show a couple years after it ended, but have since watched it at least 3 times in full, all 5 seasons. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. Best writing, fantastic plot, interesting concept. Alan Ball, who I believe is responsible for True Blood, is the creator and writer.

I also really love Wonderfalls, which only had a few episodes aired, but they shot the full first season and released it on DVD. Bryan Fuller, the creator, also did Pushing Daisies, which was on a bit longer, but was also canceled (also a fun show). I think there are a lot of similarities between Joss Whedon and Bryan Fuller, in that they both have shows that always wind up prematurely canceled, a cult following, and funky imagery. Wonderfalls was also filmed in Canada and features a lot of Canadian actors, if that is of interest to you at all...

I mean, they don't get that being critical of our military and the current wars we're fighting DOES NOT mean I hate people in the military,

Disgusting. The suggestions to join the military made me furious. Those types of people still believe the propaganda that joining the military means you're a hero and doing a service for your country. Defending our country is one thing; encouraging poor, homeless people to participate in the military industrial complex is another entirely. I'm sick and tired of this military propaganda. I've got family who are veterans, and many of them yell and insult me and call me "unAmerican" because I'm not willing to be uncritically patriotic and join in on the pornographic flag-waving bullsh*t that happens as a result. And they don't get that being critical of our military and the current wars we're fighting means I hate people in the military, which is so profoundly ridiculous.

Sorry. Memorial Day brings out the worst of my Facebook news feed. I needed to vent somewhere...

I once went to go see a movie with Nicolas Cage, who was driving an ambulance. I don't remember what it was called, but it was the first time I ever walked out of a theater because the movie was so profoundly boring.

OH, and who could forget At First Sight?! By far the most ridiculous crap I ever subjected myself to. I saw it when I was like, 15, and knew even then just how wretched it was.

My Buffy-loving friends also promise me it will get better. We'll see.

I know that as a viewer because of the genre, I am supposed to suspend belief, but really, how is it that so many teenagers from ONE high school can be murdered or commit suicide on a weekly basis, without a single parent having a shit fit? You would think people would be avoiding that school in droves, what with the death rate and all.

SERIOUSLY. I struggle with this constantly watching Whedon stuff (and really, everything else. I am utterly incapable of suspending disbelief).
