when you end up in a recovery fix after redsn0w restore, you need to enter dfu mode and jailbreak with the same resn0w while pointing to the 6.0 ipsw.

Are yer sure your phone downgraded successfully?, coz what you are describing are the symptoms of the ipad baseband. (signal dropping when location services are accessed)

why are you booting tethered when there is already untethers available....unless maybe you are on iOS 6
