If it works with the tmobile sim, then it's definitely a location issue, the O2 3G signal is probably not there or not strong enough. Try it somewhere else, like the center of the city.

- so much lag in the maps and ipod apps
- it crashes sooo much
- no jailbreak (yet)
But, I love the copy paste, the landscape texting and emailing makes it all worth it, the tethering, here's hoping for a quick stability fix

Use the latest quickpwn, the unlock will still be there and so will your data.
unjailbreak you can achieve by restoring, and if you make a backup before you restore you won't loose anything
