yes, "plate in brain" - you are SO RIGHT. All art should conform to societies standards. I call for a ban on all political art that doesn't support our government and it's policies. Is seattle with me???

How inexperienced would you like them? This idea that we need people who are COMPLETELY ignorant of government is just as foolish as the idea that we need presidents who are "just like me" or "someone I could have a beer with"... The idea that everyone in DC is corrupt is a frightening and unfair generalization to many good people who have given their lives to serving the people.

How about hiring people who care about the welfare of average Americans more than their Corporate BFF's? Or that believe in limits to corporate greed by organizations like big oil, banking and insurance?

The issue is not that Fannie and Freddie tried to help low income Americans find mortgages. The problem is that they and other large banks offered consumers loans with interest rates and home prices that people could not possibly afford. Republicans wanted and fought hard for deregulation policies that benefited banks and large corporations, which they now are trying to pin on Democrats.

When all Americans have better access to home ownership, the middle class can prosper. Republican economic policies lead to concentration of wealth and take money out of circulation. Who can afford to buy corporate goods and services when we have no middle class? the Republicans "trickle down theory" and "supply side economics" does not work.

We need a prosperous middle class who can afford a home within their reach. We also need a complete reformation of lending practices and CEO compensation.
