Hey,
Ive just jailbroken my 3G with a powerbook g4.

I downloaded a custom_restore_ipsw online and used that.

Is you phone unlocked? If it is, download an IPSW that is NOT activated!!!!

Power off (whist USB IN).
Hold power + Home = 10 seconds
Release power, keep holding home for 10 seconds.. Done.

You get the carrier error (MM stayting) even if you restore to normal 3.0.. I done mine yesterday and still had my custom carrier. Didnt jailbreak anything..

You need to activate using the original carriers sim card!

You cant reverse engineer someone elses work. thats illegal. Jailbreaking isnt. What you want is. Sorry.

It's hard to open an ipa/app and modify. Just email tappulous and ask them.

Use xCode on a mac.. main rule.. get a mac!

If theyre all legit apps (appstore) and all your settings will be saved. Just use RESTORE and just run quickpwn later.

Use QwkPwn when its released..
Ultrasn0w should fix the baseband issue if you're worried about an unlock.

Can the CPU on a 3G be unlocked to full speed?
I know it was raised higher back in the 1.x days by about 20mhz.. I'd like to have mine run at 600+mhz.

Its running 3.0 (non beta by the looks) and its Jailbroken... Just relax... Go have a nap!
