Not pretending to be an expert but I have a least read up on the Orca. If you are as knowledgeable as you state yourself to be please step up and correct the wikipedia while you are at it, school kids world wide are basing their reports on the information found there.

Also the additional wounds and maybe even the previously known wounds may not even be of human origin. We do have Orcas in the area who are properly named whale killers ( the local resident pods which are currently absent mostly feed on salmon but the non-resident pods that come through subsist heavily upon seals, sea lions and whales)
