What's next? The Thought Police"????? With the huge law books out there I think it might be simpler if they wrote one list of what we ARE allowed to say or do.....I fear it would be a very short list these days.

Unfortunately there is no law in the world that can change this. It's obviously a deep-rooted cultural issue and I just don't see how anyone can get around that. The baby girls that manage to survive will grow up with the same attitudes as their mothers and the cycle continues.....this is a situation where I truly cannot think of even one half-baked solution to! How do you fight against what is basically part of their religious beliefs?

I sure find the posts that got thumbed down interesting! Almost all of them agree that no real harm is being done and i wonder why it bothers people so much? Really people.....as long as the child is being cared for in a loving manner and their gender specific hygiene is taken care of and, later, taught, then it really is none of our business what is in their diapers! That being said, I have to wonder why the parents even brought attention to their "experiments" or whatever you want to call it if they truly just want their baby's gender to remain private? If you don't tell anyone what you're doing, nobody will ask! You can't do things to encourage attention and then complain when you get it parents...keeping your mouths shut would have better proven your parenting plan, even if only to yourselves.
In response to kockatoo.....And once he goes from victim to assailant, we then have another victim and so it goes on and on and on.....who are you OR DSHS to decide that this line of thinking and approach is acceptable? What gives you or anyone else the right to make someone's child a potential victim just because the abused child in question hasn't been an assailant "yet" ? Where do you get off? You don't get to take those kinds of chances with other people's kids for ANY reason! He should never have been placed in a residential home with younger children. He should have remained at the facility and undergone counseling until the age of 18 or he should have been placed in a home with older kids and parents with the knowledge and skills to help a child like this overcome his past and heal and hopefully go on to have a wonderful life. After all he had already went through, he deserved at least that chance. But now he has become no better than the person who made him who he is today.....great job DSHS! When exactly did it stop being about the kids?
