You don't get to take those kinds of chances with other people's kids for ANY reason! He should never have been placed in a residential home with younger children. He should have remained at the facility and undergone counseling until the age of 18 or he should have been placed in a home with older kids and parents with the knowledge and skills to help a child like this overcome his past and heal and hopefully go on to have a wonderful life. After all he had already went through, he deserved at least that chance. But now he has become no better than the person who made him who he is today.....great job DSHS! I think they are implying that he may have had a more serious respiratory situation going on and the pain medication made things drastically worse. I think that people should keep this in mind before they start throwing around suicide theories or painting pictures of a person in withdrawal (which mimics cold symptoms) or ranting about having useful meds taken off the market! We don't know what happened and it's a tragedy that his life is over - don't start throwing stones at him or his reputation when we all basically know NOTHING other than the fact that he had surgery, maybe had a cold, took oxyCODONE and died.....that's it.
