Cydia is slow - but Jay's been tweaking it for a long time now. I think with a similar amount of work icy will be really good.

Personally, im pleased that RiP Dev have taken to move to try and unify how we install JB apps

I currently have both - Icy is running a little smoother in 3.0 - but still isn't quite at the same level as cydia for me. I'm using icy for some stuff, cydia for other bits.

Icy can access all the same sources as cydia - its just personal preference. I think there'll be an update for cydia soon that'll tidy it up for 3.0

There's nothing to stop you trying to develop your own unlock if you think you can do it faster

i found on my 2.2.1 JB that cydia sometimes crashed - hasnt done that yet on 3.0 though. Icy might be worth a try

I suppose they need to make 100% sure that the work around for the new asr isnt going to cause any crashes.
