Cydia is slow - but Jay's been tweaking it for a long time now. I think with a similar amount of work icy will be really good. Personally, im pleased that RiP Dev have taken to move to try and unify how we install JB apps

I currently have both - Icy is running a little smoother in 3.0 - but still isn't quite at the same level as cydia for me. I'm using icy for some stuff, cydia for other bits. Icy can access all the same sources as cydia - its just personal preference. I think there'll be an update for cydia soon that'll tidy it up for 3.0

There's nothing to stop you trying to develop your own unlock if you think you can do it faster

I suppose they need to make 100% sure that the work around for the new asr isnt going to cause any crashes.

All that really means is that the exploit that lets JB in is still there - what it does once it's in still has to be adapted for 3.0

I never knew how much i'd miss my winterboard themes, quick dismiss and the SBSettings! It's refreshing going back to official firmware because it makes me appreciate so much more what the devteam have managed to squeeze out of the iphone.

jailbreak turns it from a very, very functional phone into something more like a netbook! Absolutely incredible work from the dev-team! MxTube is one of my favourites, and simple things like SBSettings & quick dismiss
