Aren't kids weird like that? Teddy does the same thing. "I don't want to go to League." "I don't want to go to the library!" But as soon as we get there, he's having a blast. It's hard to know when pushing them to go is right or wrong. And I'll admit, I'm glad to know that I'm not alone! Thanks for stopping by!

I like the idea of putting a time limit on it and making small goals. I'm not quite sure how to do so with Teddy and Pokemon - unfortunately, he'll come up against decks that are strong against his or he'll get a bad draw. It's trying to find the balance that's the problem.

I'm with you on not pushing to a specific activity, though. It's what I do with my boys and why, in some ways, I'm so frustrated with the Pokemon thing because it was something that he wanted to do. Ah well... the joys of parenting boys! :)

You've got a good point, Gracie. You learn a lot more from disappointment and perseverance than just by being happy all the time. I don't mind him being unhappy sometimes - heck, I make him unhappy pretty regularly when I tell him that he can't do something he wants or that he has to do something (like chores) that he doesn't want. I think I'll have him continue to go to League for awhile longer and see if we can find a way to refresh his interest in the game. Thanks both for stopping by and for giving me your honest opinion!

Definitely introduce them to the world of comics! They can be a great gateway drug! :) If you can get the Tiny Titans comics (either individual or in graphic novel form) by Art Baltazar, those might be a good way to start them out. Especially if they like jokes!

I'd actually wanted two girls before my boys were born, because I knew girls. But I wouldn't change my boys to girls for anything! From what I've been told, I'm going to have the hard times early and then it will get easier! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thanks so much for stopping by, Doreen! I'm definitely hoping to keep up with things a bit better this time around! And I'm sorry that April is a rough month. *hugs*

That's really cool! I know some people that are still really close to their sibs, no matter the gender. And those are the most awesome relationships, I think.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm really hoping to get through all of the challenge this time around!

My boys are 2 1/2 years apart and, physically, as unalike as you could ever imagine. But they're still best friends and that's what rocks!

It sounds like you guys would have an awesome trip! And if you happened to drive through Nashville, you'd better plan on stopping! :)
