Don't let it get to you. Take a book from the page of nerds like me. To others, they see the terms nerd, geek, and dork as insults. But to us, they're badges of honor and pride. Next time someone calls you a teabagger, rather than allowing them to provoke you, stand firm and tall and shout to the world: "You're right. I AM a teabagger. And you know what? I'm proud, because that means I stand for what's right, something that's been needed in this country for a long time."

Keep in mind, that the original meaning of the term "Patriot" was "Rebel". It was an insult given to the rebellious American Colonies. Back then, "Loyalist" had the meaning that Patriot does today. So, if that means that we must now abandon the word Patriot and embrace this new term just as our founding fathers did, then let's do it with pride.

Well, that's just the thing. We must show that we have the maturity to be above this kind of petty thing, otherwise our message will come across the wrong way. I do applaud your effort in trying to do something, but whatever is done, keep in mind that the actions of the individual reflect upon the whole. If immature actions are taken, it'll only have a negative impact. In fact, as another poster mentioned, this is the kind of thing you'd expect the other side to do. We MUST show that we're better than that.

Oh, no, I didn't mean to seem like I was lecturing you. It's just that it's hard to read text if it's a wall of ALL CAPS. You do make a very good point, but it'd probably reach more people if you were a tad less overzealous with caps lock. Use caps lock on the points of emphasis rather than the entire message. It makes it easier to read, and as such, more people will read it.

This is why rules 39 and 40 of the internet exist:

Rule 39 - CAPSLOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL
Rule 40 - EVEN WITH CRUISE CONTROL, YOU STILL HAVE TO STEER

Unlike many of the other rules, these actually do have something to do with netiquette. When you use occasional capslock, it's emphasis. If you use the whole thing, it's seen as yelling. It's just proper netiquette.

Your point, though, like I said, is a VERY good one, which is why despite the all-caps, you've got so many replies. It's a very good message.

I object. I am a younger person, of the age of 21, and thanks to Obama's epic fail economic strategies, cannot land myself a job. I will be there, and I will be civil. Look not for matters of age, and this goes beyond age. Look instead for behaviors that seem to clash with the rest of the group, people that seem to be acting strange in comparison to everyone else. Rather, say for number 1: People of all ages engaged in the crowd. This shows that it's beyond generations.

Other than the age/employment arguments, though, I can see what you mean here.

You also need to include in the 'others' segment:

Ridiculous means of protest. - Look at PETA, for example. The message they're getting across isn't what they mean to get across. Rather, what it tells people is that "If you eat more meat, we'll make out in the middle of the street more often". Totally counterproductive.

*sighs*

I fail to understand the arguments of the people for giving illegals these so called 'rights'. Their argument?

"Illegals are humans too."

Yes, they are. So they will follow the laws of humans, or face the punishments of humans. And human law here specifically states that coming here through non-proper channels is illegal. To assist these illegals by giving them jobs or aid is Aiding and Abetting.

I live in Texas, I've met plenty of legals. They all tell me it's not that hard to come here legally, and they're doing their best to become proper citizens, even learning conversational English. They're trying to live the American Dream, but the illegals are giving them a bad name. That's right, LEGAL IMMIGRANTS complaining about illegals.

People also need to know that it's NOT JUST MEXICO--Illegals come from many different countries. Enforcement needs to be stepped up, and punishments need to be harsher. What's more, those whom help these criminals need to be charged with Aiding and Abetting--even those in government that are helping these illegals. NOBODY is above the law. NOBODY.

Glenn was right. No point arguing with you, you'll just continue your extremist ways. Go ahead, believe what you wish. However, I am also entitled to my own beliefs, so do kindly stop trying to push yours on mine. Again I will tell you that I'm not in denial... I just don't care. So your words are wasted on me. Perhaps someone else may be willing to listen to you, but not on this site. You're gonna be up against a lot of opposition to those views on this site, so your words will be wasted here. I know you're gonna reply to me trying to get me to listen to you, but this is the end of the conversation as far as I'm concerned. Go ahead and do what you will, I suppose. I'll be here not caring, as usual.

Ow, my eyes... Okay, I know Caps Lock is CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL, but even CRUISE CONTROL needs to be steered properly. Use Caps Lock wisely, only when you mean to emphasize something, otherwise it looks like you're yelling.

However, you do make a very valid point. We need to keep these tea parties civil. In fact, it's imperative that ALL of them remain civil. If even one breaks out in violence, then the progressives/hard liberals will take that and run with it. It is very important to listen to this advice, because violence should always be avoided as much as possible. Especially when you're holding a protest.

...I'd rather not. That seems way too immature, and it will definitely be taken the wrong way. There are much more effective ways of getting our message across, so please, be more creative and witty in your means of getting the message out.

Have you asked them? Have you looked it up yourself? Don't go posting random websites. Look at hard data, not petty speculation.

Also, you assume I care. I'm a member of the generation of apathy, boya. I don't. But I am amused by your stupidity, so please, keep it up. You're hilarious.

Yes, you can quote people all day long. Have you heard these, though?

"Never underestimate the stupidity of humanity"
"There is no such thing as foolproof"

Grow up, seriously. Why don't you try actually looking at the facts, rather than spreading petty propaganda? Honestly, your time would be much better spent educating yourself than trying this epic fail attempt to spread this propaganda here. But then again, I don't mind if you keep it up. Making fun of fools like you is a favorite pastime of my generation. Keep on bringing us the epic lulz. Hell, if you earn yourself a darwin award while you're at it, we'll love you even more.

Of course, you could STOP making your life a joke by listening to logic and reason, but fools are as fools do. My money says you won't. I doubt you'll even follow your own advice and look the stuff up yourself. Looks to me you take the interwebs WAY too seriously in this.
