Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead - 3/24

Don't let it get to you. Take a book from the page of nerds like me. To others, they see the terms nerd, geek, and dork as insults. But to us, they're badges of honor and pride. Next time someone calls you a teabagger, rather than allowing them to provoke you, stand firm and tall and shout to the world: "You're right. I AM a teabagger. And you know what? I'm proud, because that means I stand for what's right, something that's been needed in this country for a long time." Keep in mind, that the original meaning of the term "Patriot" was "Rebel". It was an insult given to the rebellious American Colonies. Back then, "Loyalist" had the meaning that Patriot does today. So, if that means that we must now abandon the word Patriot and embrace this new term just as our founding fathers did, then let's do it with pride.

Well, that's just the thing. We must show that we have the maturity to be above this kind of petty thing, otherwise our message will come across the wrong way. I do applaud your effort in trying to do something, but whatever is done, keep in mind that the actions of the individual reflect upon the whole. If immature actions are taken, it'll only have a negative impact. In fact, as another poster mentioned, this is the kind of thing you'd expect the other side to do. We MUST show that we're better than that.

Oh, no, I didn't mean to seem like I was lecturing you. It's just that it's hard to read text if it's a wall of ALL CAPS. You do make a very good point, but it'd probably reach more people if you were a tad less overzealous with caps lock. Use caps lock on the points of emphasis rather than the entire message. It makes it easier to read, and as such, more people will read it. This is why rules 39 and 40 of the internet exist: Rule 39 - CAPSLOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL Rule 40 - EVEN WITH CRUISE CONTROL, YOU STILL HAVE TO STEER Unlike many of the other rules, these actually do have something to do with netiquette. When you use occasional capslock, it's emphasis. If you use the whole thing, it's seen as yelling. It's just proper netiquette. Your point, though, like I said, is a VERY good one, which is why despite the all-caps, you've got so many replies. It's a very good message.

I object. I am a younger person, of the age of 21, and thanks to Obama's epic fail economic strategies, cannot land myself a job. I will be there, and I will be civil. Look not for matters of age, and this goes beyond age. Look instead for behaviors that seem to clash with the rest of the group, people that seem to be acting strange in comparison to everyone else. Rather, say for number 1: People of all ages engaged in the crowd. This shows that it's beyond generations. Other than the age/employment arguments, though, I can see what you mean here. You also need to include in the 'others' segment: Ridiculous means of protest. - Look at PETA, for example. The message they're getting across isn't what they mean to get across. Rather, what it tells people is that "If you eat more meat, we'll make out in the middle of the street more often". Totally counterproductive.

*sighs* I fail to understand the arguments of the people for giving illegals these so called 'rights'. Their argument? "Illegals are humans too." Yes, they are. So they will follow the laws of humans, or face the punishments of humans. And human law here specifically states that coming here through non-proper channels is illegal. To assist these illegals by giving them jobs or aid is Aiding and Abetting. I live in Texas, I've met plenty of legals. They all tell me it's not that hard to come here legally, and they're doing their best to become proper citizens, even learning conversational English. They're trying to live the American Dream, but the illegals are giving them a bad name. That's right, LEGAL IMMIGRANTS complaining about illegals. People also need to know that it's NOT JUST MEXICO--Illegals come from many different countries. Enforcement needs to be stepped up, and punishments need to be harsher. What's more, those whom help these criminals need to be charged with Aiding and Abetting--even those in government that are helping these illegals. NOBODY is above the law. NOBODY.

*shrugs* Glenn was right. No point arguing with you, you'll just continue your extremist ways. Go ahead, believe what you wish. However, I am also entitled to my own beliefs, so do kindly stop trying to push yours on mine. Again I will tell you that I'm not in denial... I just don't care. So your words are wasted on me. Perhaps someone else may be willing to listen to you, but not on this site. You're gonna be up against a lot of opposition to those views on this site, so your words will be wasted here. I know you're gonna reply to me trying to get me to listen to you, but this is the end of the conversation as far as I'm concerned. Go ahead and do what you will, I suppose. I'll be here not caring, as usual.

Ow, my eyes... Okay, I know Caps Lock is CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL, but even CRUISE CONTROL needs to be steered properly. Use Caps Lock wisely, only when you mean to emphasize something, otherwise it looks like you're yelling. However, you do make a very valid point. We need to keep these tea parties civil. In fact, it's imperative that ALL of them remain civil. If even one breaks out in violence, then the progressives/hard liberals will take that and run with it. It is very important to listen to this advice, because violence should always be avoided as much as possible. Especially when you're holding a protest.

Have you asked them? Have you looked it up yourself? Don't go posting random websites. Look at hard data, not petty speculation. Also, you assume I care.
Yes, you can quote people all day long. Have you heard these, though? "Never underestimate the stupidity of humanity" "There is no such thing as foolproof" Grow up, seriously. Why don't you try actually looking at the facts, rather than spreading petty propaganda? Honestly, your time would be much better spent educating yourself than trying this epic fail attempt to spread this propaganda here. But then again, I don't mind if you keep it up. Making fun of fools like you is a favorite pastime of my generation. Keep on bringing us the epic lulz. Hell, if you earn yourself a darwin award while you're at it, we'll love you even more. Of course, you could STOP making your life a joke by listening to logic and reason, but fools are as fools do. My money says you won't. I doubt you'll even follow your own advice and look the stuff up yourself. Looks to me you take the interwebs WAY too seriously in this.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead - 3/24

"And now a word to you fathers. Don't make your children angry by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction approved by the Lord." -- Ephesians 6:4 This is a verse that applies not just to Christians, but to all religions. After all, words of wisdom are not limited to affecting just one group or religion, they are useful to all of man, regardless of their origins. The problem is, congress is forgetting this. They are imposing taxes on us, the people my age, the generation of their children, and thinking that we'll just take it. Those of our parents generation that oppose it call this "Generational Theft". Those of my generation call this "A Declaration of War". In your home, if you were to steal your child's savings just to improve your life style for a few minutes, don't go wondering what happened when your child rebels against you. This is not a matter as petty as class warfare anymore. This is now becoming quite quickly generational warfare. Though neither side has the correct approach to what must be done, the one thing that you must be wary of is the backlash and wrath of the children. It is only a matter of time before we take charge. As Pelosi and the others in congress age and decay, they will be replaced one by one by the people of my generation, the generation that is being called by some the "Generation of Apathy". In the end, once this generation takes power, they will follow their parent's example and transfer their debt so they don't have to pay... transfer it, most likely, to their parents. A 'generational tax'. This is NOT what needs to be done. But sadly, this is what I can see happening. The bible states for a very good reason not to incur the wrath of your children. And unfortunately, give us 15-30 years, and the reason will become quite clear. Just as congress is abusing power now, the congress of my generation will choose to do the same thing. Then as people cry out "Stop hurting the elderly so!", they will simply reply "We don't care. Go bother someone who does." This is a situation that we must try to avoid at all costs. As a member of my generation whom has taken up the mantle of an 'Observer', I can tell you now that this path is a very self-destructive path. And it is the one we are currently on. We disparately need to take a few steps back, and to change our path. We must stay off this road of Destruction, and avoid the road of Creation as well. Rather, we must focus our journey down the path of Balance. This is something our founding fathers saw and understood. What we need now is not a rejection of faith in lieu of knowledge, nor is it a blind faith, but it is WISDOM, in conjunction with BOTH knowledge and faith. These three things - Knowledge, Wisdom, and Faith - are what allow a society to thrive. To embrace all of them and to follow that joint path of Balance will allow us to grow and thrive. But the second we lose balance, we lose wisdom, and shun either Knowledge or Faith. Misguided faith is a very dangerous thing, as we saw when Barak Obama stabbed my generation in the back. Some of use have rejected Faith and fled to Knowledge, using logic to govern our lives. Others have diverted their faith to other things. Likewise, knowledge without faith only leads to foolishness. The science community continues to try to disprove God, and they are championing the theories of the Big Bang, as well as Evolution, as their 'proof'. However, one can easily point out that the big bang theory is a CATHOLIC theory, and goes hand in hand with scripture. What's more, evolution sounds a lot like god sculpting man out of clay. Furthermore, science cannot actually explain on its own the miracles of 'Birth', 'Life', and 'Death'. But what needs to be done is for people, not just of my generation, but of all generations, to embrace both knowledge and faith. By doing so, you will be led to the path of Balance, and will begin to understand and embrace wisdom. One must embrace and balance both knowledge and science, as well as faith and their beliefs. Science and religion are compatible with each other. Science teaches the knowledge to allow societies to grow, and Religion teaches the morals to allow societies to grow properly. The fusion of the two leads to the wisdom required to allow those societies to prosper. But sadly, we are being foolish as a nation. The generation in power at the moment is trying to make their own lives better and passing down the bill. The generation of their children are taking this and understanding it as an outright declaration of war against them. We sincerely need this to stop. And you cannot just look at us, the generation of your children, to do the right thing - this must be done by all sides. We all need to stand up and say "ENOUGH!" Responsibility. This is the first step. We must take responsibility for the things we do. And if congress won't take responsibility for the things they do as well, it is our responsibility to replace them with people that will.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 3/29/09 - 4/1/09

The answer I see is relatively simple - Government has grown complacent and corrupt. They wish to hold onto their offices rather than do their jobs - for that reason, you see the members of the house of representatives pushing an agenda one year, then trying to maintain power the next. What we need is not a stricter government, but rather stricter controls on government. They have forgotten that we are a republic, that they are the figureheads that represent us. They have abused their duties to write the law, and see the President simply as a means to an end - a figurehead to divert attention away from them, a person to place the blame on. It is not the president who determines policy, it is congress. As such, congress should be the sector of government we have the strictest laws on. This will require an amendment to the Constitution, as our founding fathers did not realize just how distorted the law would become and how government had twisted its role through their own 'interpretation' of what the Constitution stood for. The first thing we can do is strip their means of retaining power from them - through term limits. However, the way this must be set up must be very careful - just putting standard limits may not be enough, especially for the House of Representatives. My personal recommendation is One term for the Senate, and Two Non-Consecutive terms for the House of Representatives. This will free them up to stop campaigning, and start doing their jobs. What's more, the limitations will keep the people new and fresh. This plan is, of course, not without its own limitations - the most pressing one being Congress itself. Their lust for power will prevent them from amending the constitution in a way that strips them of that power. As such, we must first enact our constitutional right to replace our government. There are two ways to do this - through democratic means, or through war. The preferable option is simply voting every last incumbent out of power. The current status of government is such that unless this is done, the corruption will continue. The second option is what will naturally occur should they NOT be voted out. Every nation that has existed went through a period of rise and fall. It rose, thrived, but then became corrupt, and in the end, the people revolted, rebellion occurred, the old nation fell and a new one took its place. This is NOT the preferable method, for as we all know, there are no true winners in war. America, it is your turn to decide. How will you make your first step? Will you take action and exercise your rights, or will you wait until it is too late, and those rights are stripped of you? It is not too late to act, but if nothing is done, then it shall soon be. It is time to make a decision.
