Since I don't see my last comment, let me try again. "Mother Nature has absolutely no control over flooding and the suffering that goes with it. There is only one person who controls the wind and the rain, and that is our Creator, God. Why does he allow such sufferings? To make us stronger individuals, able to help others in their future sufferings. But God promises to be with us through the "storms" in our lives. My sincere empathy for those in the Mohawk Valley during this difficult time.
"Mother Nature" has no control over the weather. There is only one person that controls the wind and the rain and that is God, our Creator. Why would God allow a flood and all the suffering that goes with it? Perhaps to make us stronger individuals who, in the future, could help others with like circumstances.
Quite often the same press release is sent to all news media: ie TV, Newspaper, Radio. THAT"S WHY THEY ARE WORDED THE SAME. DAH!
Great Parade, tons of candy, zillions of balloons, great community spirit!
I can only think of one word to describe this: Sweet. We should all have this much love for one another. She meant no harm to anyone. This indeed gave her a purpose in life as others have commented. God bless her...
Just read the story and the comments. We have a Verizon cell phone, took it swimming the other day in a pocket. The phone drowned but may come back to life after a few days in a rice bath. Anyway, when we took in a borrowed phone to activate temporarily at the NH store, we got great service. Sure, we had to wait our turn for about 15 mins but it was not a problem. Doctors keep you waiting alot longer. Also, regarding Mr. Scalzo...not a good place or time to remark about the ATT incident. Very sensitive subject. Like yelling "bomb" on an airliner.
oldemili....I DO go to church. No one talks like that at my church, at least pubically.
And, thank you CNYLifer for reminding us why WKTV HAD TO CHANGE to digital or go off the air. Also, I like the suggestion to do other things while you wait.
As disappointed as we all are, I don't thing it worth using offensive language.
Why don't u use this downtime with your TV, to learn how to spell/type better. Or, better yet, try a little "Calgon, take me away" therapy.
Well, it's Monday. Now we watch and wait to see if we can work tomorrow, so we can pay our bills like everyone else. Most commenters here are hoping we, the state workers, won't be able to go to work. Very sad to see that. So much for New Yorkers sticking together in crisis. Oh I almost forgot, Happy Flag Day...God Bless the USA.
Are these policeman posting patrols on Rt 12 for those leaving DUI? Glad I'm home safe in my driveway by then.
