Why does he allow such sufferings? To make us stronger individuals, able to help others in their future sufferings. But God promises to be with us through the "storms" in our lives. We have a Verizon cell phone, took it swimming the other day in a pocket. The phone drowned but may come back to life after a few days in a rice bath. Anyway, when we took in a borrowed phone to activate temporarily at the NH store, we got great service. Sure, we had to wait our turn for about 15 mins but it was not a problem. We have bills to pay, too, just like the private sector people. We are not the reason that the State of New York is in a financial crisis. Its the spending practices like hiring private consultants when a state worker can do the same job for less money. Also, curbing medicaid fraud and changing the qualifications/requirements so that people can only get the benefits if they truly have no other resource.(i.e. getting a job). Do either of these money saving things and a lot could be accomplished toward eliminating our huge debt.
