I have to say... at this rate... there will not be healthcare reform plan anytime soon.
Why dont we turn the mall into a jail. No one really shops there, you could relocate the bookstore to downtown, and find places for the big lots and dollar tree. JC penny and such could move down the road and get more business. The mall is a waste of space as is. Just make it more useful. Use it to hold less serious criminals...
Exactly. They are not optional. If we dont do something about the inmates, the jail will be shut down. If we dont do something about the radio system, the county will be fined by the state. It has to happen. But no one will vote for a tax increase. The county could find the money in other places instead of raising taxes. They could... but wont... end of story. We will end up paying for it... you are right... but how long will it be. And will they do it before elections next year? If so, will it cause those individuals to be voted out?? Thats the problem. Do they want to find the money else where or lose their jobs as CC??

Heres the problem with the jail. If they dont make more room for the inmates by building a new jail or a add on... the state will shut down the existing jail. The jail needs an add on unless we dont want a jail in Rowan County period. Im not for spending out tax dollars on the jail. I think they could find the money and do things to help raise the money. I have plenty of ideas that would help pay for the jail and equipment needed. Too bad they wont do them. The other part of the tax money they need is for a radio system for emergency services. If they dont get up to date on that, the state will fine them. The whole problem is that someone is blowing money and not being very smart about how they are spending it. As I have said before. If they would cut the almost half of a million dollars in half that they give to the vol. agency they call Rescue Squad, they could save 200,000 a year and the RS could still run just fine. Its just that CC's dont want to work to find the money.
Well they got their 15 mins of fame. Now let the parents do some time in jail or let them pay back the cost of this whole ordeal. These fools should do some time in jail and have their kids taken for pulling this stunt.
I hope so since thats what they get when they get every other vaccine. The nasal spray is a live virus...the shot is a dead virus. This is with every vaccine shot. Its a dead virus being injected into your body. I saw today where one girl had a rare side effect from getting the regular flu vaccine. Now, she has some real bad problems...her brain misfires now.
I just have one problem with this... Why in the *ell should we be paying for this public option? Why cant they find the money else where. We are going to be paying for this for the rest of our lives. Another thing that bothers me is will this be like Medicare and Social Security?? Will it run out of money eventually and say...too bad?
But heres a problem for parents. A certain Drs. office in Salisbury is only doing flu clinics on Sat.s and the next available sat. appoint isnt until Nov. 21st. Thats pretty far into the flu season. And it seems like all health departments dont have enough to serve every child or adult that needs it.
