I happen to live near this intersection, from my personal experience drivers on Chambers are in too much of a hurry to be inconvenienced by pedestrians. I have literally waited 10 minutes at the crosswalk on 15th and Chambers waiting for cars to let me proceed. You literally have to time the crossing and dodge traffic in order to make it through. I hope that the driver that hit this little girl, didn't miss their important meeting, that they were in a hurry to get too.
To think that people are actually blaming the child is so internet trolling typical. As far as the crosswalk on 15th and Chambers is concerned, don't believe me, you try seeing if people will voluntarily stop at the crosswalk for you.
Take his prison sentence and divide it by the amount of money he stole. [70 months/$60] this idiot went to jail over .85 cents a month.
So typical of paid state employees, hurting the ones that are trying to do good. Have known Amber for years, great woman raising four kids on HER OWN. Stop harassing your tenants HADCO!!!
At least they wrote the profanity in english....
That's why it's a good idea to always wear your life vest while out on the water.
I love the Ducks, however I think Chip Kelly should release every player who has gotten into trouble with the law. If he doesn't what players are going to take him seriously....it sucks too loose Masoli but bad things happen to dumb asses..
I live in a nice neighborhood where the homeowners take pride in their community, however we have a "mini-mart" just down the street and due to the fact that they knowingly sell alcohol to the homeless in the area we have a corner that is overrun with bums. I can look out my kitchen window and see a small herd of homeless people sharing paper covered cans, day and night. The availability of the cheap malt liquor is going to determine where they are going to hang out, thanks to Amazon market we have a very interesting corner on 12th and Grant.
Nope thats a PETA suicide burner.......
All I know is that if I wake up with a stranger yelling at me out of a dead sleep and I don't recognize the person, hes gonna get shot. People have the right to feel safe in their own home, regardless of their ability to understand English or not. No I am not some tree swinging hippie, or some cry baby liberal, just the way I see it.
Eugene Police Department is extremely underfunded, I personally had someone break into my house, and when I called the police, I was given a number like at the DMV. Our jail is a joke, commit anything short of murder and the criminals are matrixed out inside of hours.
So if the police can't respond in a timely order, and there are no repercussions for the criminal element in Eugene, why shouldn't the crime rate grow? Wonder what next year will look like.
