I have literally waited 10 minutes at the crosswalk on 15th and Chambers waiting for cars to let me proceed.You literally have to time the crossing and dodge traffic in order to make it through. I hope that the driver that hit this little girl, didn't miss their important meeting, that they were in a hurry to get too. To think that people are actually blaming the child is so internet trolling typical. As far as the crosswalk on 15th and Chambers is concerned, don't believe me, you try seeing if people will voluntarily stop at the crosswalk for you. Our jail is a joke, commit anything short of murder and the criminals are matrixed out inside of hours. So if the police can't respond in a timely order, and there are no repercussions for the criminal element in Eugene, why shouldn't the crime rate grow? Wonder what next year will look like.
