Death penalty. Cheap, permanent way to rid our world of idiots. But, noooo. The law will want to analyze this guy's behavior, find out if he was abused as a child and get him some high level counseling to go along with his 3 year jail term. Which will be shortened, no doubt, and he'll be out road raging again...
We may be lucky right now compared to those suffering hot, humid heatwaves in other parts of the country. But we are not lucky, as far as our usual summers go. As a third generation Seattle native, I have come to accept the long, dark, wet winters that we endure. Partly, because there is the summer carrot hanging out in front of us. We all know this is the best place to be in the summer time, right? But when we get a La Nina summer, or whatever it is that we are experiencing this year, we feel like we are getting ripped off. Summer is too short around here to give up a couple of weeks for cool, cloudy weather. That being said, I will still take 62 degrees and overcast verses 100 degrees and humid any day. Hopefully we'll have a nice September!
Thanks. This is a better explanation of your concerns and I understand what you are saying, fully. My previous comment was easy to interpret as indicative of going along at a juvenile level, or justifying this illegal contact. That was not the intent. And, I agree that predatory adults are the lowest form of scum on the earth. I absolutely put a lid on talk when it gets inappropriate. Bottom line - I hope and believe that this young man, with a little help, will be okay in the long run.
Why did KOMO remove those excellent videos?
Horses, pit bulls...What next? Glad that Mr. Schiro is recovering from this bizarre and unfortunate accident. It does make one wonder what these horses are being injected with before a race...
I swear that I can pick out stolen cars on the road. Two different colors, lowered, big exhaust pipe and the, uh....driver. It seems like if the cops pull a car over like that, they would find no insurance and non-matching tabs/license plate/ owner information at least half the time.
I think some of us know where the majority of the problem lies...
There are so many stolen cars, that it seems like the SPD hardly looks for them any more. Both of my sisters had their cars stolen, and a couple of friends as well. The sad thing is that one of my friends found his car on his own, on the street with the "new owners" stuff, kid seat and toys in it. Being used with impunity. I guess this is common, and then once the tabs expire, the car is parted out. Really frustrating. And then you start noticing the kind of punks that drive those older Hondas and it's easy to see why they have to steal things. It is also easy to generalize on their nationality, but it is probably losers from all walks. And a lot of these idiots are the ones doing slalom between cars in traffic. Wish the cops could nail more of them...
