It is was it is. Some employers after better benefits than other employers.
Instead of getting paid for unused sick leave. A company ususally private will
send everyone on a trip all paid by employer to Las Vegas, Hawaii etc. also buy the wardrobe for all the dental people in the office.
Working for the government can be awful, the problem people stay and you have to work with them.

So these TWO men beat up and harrassed a SIXTEEN year old. Told him this is what white people did to their ancestors. That was along time ago, things have changed considerably in Washington.
Bad people like that should be sent back to where they came from.
If they do not end up in prison there is something really wrong with the judicial system and the government.

I have worked in the private and public sector. In the private sector I was paid for my unused sick leave and they where grateful I came to work of course my pay was lousy. Also, I worked in the public sector__and was paid for my sick leave. Working with people that called in sick? all the time it was nice to get a reward for being at work. ____Its hard enough trying to to make a living with the way things are. Why take away more benefit from workers. __Medical costs have gone up etc.
Just think if the state did not negotiate with boeing on benefits they wanted to stay here, they be gone, no jobs, etc.

How many times have you heard of car accidents due to being off or on medication, compared to being intoxicated?

I've lived and paid alot of taxes in Renton, Burien Kent and worked in SeaTac. I've paid my dues there.
So it is a fact Newcastle is much nicer, face it and don't try and deny it.

It is not an ego problem. Sounds like someone has a jealous issue.

It is true that your car insurance is based on where you lived. This is due to how many accidents there are. Renton is 3 times as big as Newcastle which means the odds of accidents are greater.
My insurance went up when I lived in Kent and my insurance co. said it was because of the area.

Ahead of the curve what ever happen to the commercial?

Renton, does very well collecting taxes on all the retail, cars dealers etc. They have 5 times the retail businesses than Newcastle. __Newcastle needs their on zip code to insure the money that is to go to them is going to them.__Also, let me add that Renton thinks their ahead of the curve or what ever that commercials is about. Good luck with that.____ALSO, it is true that your car insurance is based on where you live. When I lived in Kent it was higher there than when I lived in Burien because there are a lot of bad drivers in Kent, I mean accidents are higher. I think it had do to with the bad air in Kent that everyone breathed in it affected their judgement. Especially the City of Kent upper level. ____

When I lost my job in 2004, I went to all the classes they offered at the unemployment office, how to interview, resume, how to dress etc. Even had help with my resume to update it again. There where jobs out there that I qualifed for
landed one. But it was not worth my time. I had over 20 years of experience.
I did temp jobs for a year while looking for something that was worth doing.
I worked in government for over about 15years. Anyway no job and retired now at 47
Yes, they do force people into early retirement or clinical depression what ever you call it. Welll like I was told good luck to all of you.

Yep,it is too bad about all the layoffs happening in Washington State. It will be that much harder to find a job for the unemployed. I was in their shoes four years ago.
I had 20+ years employment, I felt confident I would find a job I had the experience.
Applied for 100 of jobs, took tests, interviews and the be sure you to the Thank you letter thing. Temp for a year and did some crappy jobs that paid a lot less, and no insurance. I did get a job pay was low, and job was stressful. Decided this is not for me. I put my time in. Sold my condo and moved in with family.
Thanks Washington State for your support!

Also, all this talk about starbucks a Carmel Latte once in awhile
can make my day. In fact that sounds good right now, with a chicken pesto sandwhich.
