Perhaps it's time to get a Japanese consulate closer to the Oregon coast? Since it appears this will be happening frequently now, it only makes sense and would save time with the decision (even though most of us can pretty much figure it out from the obvious clues presented).
I really wish people would investigate further before opening their mouths and slamming others. My child CANNOT (please note the difference between cannot and will not) be vaccinated with the MMR vaccination due to an anaphylactic (that means life-threatening, possibly death) egg allergy. The MMR vaccination is made in a base which contains raw egg. To say that my child is endangering others is absurd. He's more IN danger because of this! And to propose that I (and many others in the same situation) am uneducated is utterly ridiculous. I probably know more about vaccinations than most, specifically due to this reason. So please don't go assuming...you know what they say about that!
Well others may find it silly, but this just gave me one gigantic LOL...thanks for the funny this morning WCA!! :)
I think the bottom line is the definition between legal and illegal. There are too many twisted thoughts, combining the two. Once that separation is made, cuts can and should be made. In my own opinion, if I have to show legal proof of citizenship for my child to play LITTLE LEAGUE, why should it not be a priority to enforce at MUCH higher levels? Seems a little convoluted to me.
My deepest sympathies to the families of these young men. May the lives they were leading continue forth in others who loved, and want to emulate them. The world has lost some amazing young men.
Your testament of how they are still "living" in your life is an awesome gift to the family of these two boys. I'm sure they will be remembered as well and as long as your dear friends.
Two beautiful babies gone too soon. I pray both families find peace and strength in the days ahead.
I'm so very glad to hear that she's improving. I'm trying so hard to keep any and all political thoughts away from this because this act boils down to one thing: hatred. It crosses all lines, no matter what your race, political preference, gender, etc. And it's incredibly sad. On a wishful note, may this be the last time something so horrific happens, and on a larger, hopefully not impossible, scale, may our country, knowing that its seams are ripped, learn how to sew them back together peaceably.
Hey we're from Wyoming too!! Back there, from September until May, we don't watch TV (it's all from Salt Lake or Denver anyway), we watch the skies and listen to the old timers. If you can't shovel out from the unexpected, you either saddle up or walk to the store with a sled behind you. Ahhh, the good old days :)
I'm sorry for her, but you know who my heart really aches for? The families of William Hakim and Tom Tennant. They've been and are still going through the devastation of losing their beloved family member. They didn't have the chance to plead to anyone to save their family members and let them live. And I REALLY hope the family is not using this little girl as their biggest hope to spare these men of their punishment.
