I just can't fathom why adequate research hasn't been done before doing some mildly drastic to your device. It's quite clear from even a quick google that ppc macs have varying problems on both programs.

It's a case of wait for an update for all us loyal oldskoolers.

My god you people are fools.

Neither Pwnage Tool nor Redsnow work on PPC Macs (yet I am lead to believe). If you follow the instructions given you will have done a back up of your phone through itunes and can ALWAYS get your phone into a state where it will be able to reload your backup and restore ipsw. Einstein once said -

DO YOUR RESEARCH AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
