It isn't just illegal mexicans that steal. It would be great if it were so easy to just arrest them and haul them back over the border. Problem is, they will be back again in a week. Illegals know how easy it is and know the justice system is easy on them. Police hands are tied. Makes them very frustrated. It isn't all about job security for the police. There will always be crime!
Everyone needs to do their part. The "boys in blue" can't be everywhere! Don't leave your keys in your car and then not expect your car to be stolen. Use some sort of preventative measures. By the way, glad you are such a super sleuth and solved your own crime. Do you want your taxes to go up to pay for more deputies? Didn't think so. They are under paid and overworked and doing the best they can. Give them a thanks instead of knocking them.

Cops would much rather be out hunting pot growers and dope dealers than handing out boring citations to rude drivers. Manpower is limited. I think the deputies did the best they could with what they had. Anytime a department has to put officers on a scene to watch it, they are putting the rest of the community at risk by having fewer deputies handle calls. Simple math. Your house gets burglarized while deputies are up in Wolverine Canyon having a picnic. Guess who's going to complain?! Your tax dollars only strtch so far!! Good job BCSO!
Good comment! Handing out boring citations to rude drivers is the last thing cops want to be doing! They 'd much rather be involved in a real hunt for the pukes who grow this crap but the reality is the budgets don't allow it. Shortage of manpower is a real issue. Wouldn't the fine citizens be angry if the cops were up in the hills sitting on their butts when a tragedy happened somewhere else. All Hell would breal loose and complaints would be everywhere. Can't please everybody!! Bingham deputies did the best they could under the circumstances!

4dogs I'm sorry you feel so poorly about the police dept. I hope when you need them in a hurry that maybe they will pause awhile, gather their thoughts, maybe go to the donut shop and think about what decision to make so they won't make a "rash" decision and save your life. Most times thes officers are on single coverage 12 hour shifts and luckily they have the help of reserves who voluteer their time. Cough up some tax $$$ and lets get more cops on duty!!
Amazing harsh? Truth hurts a little bit, huh?! I pay taxes and own my home as well whatever that has to do with the issue on hand. People would complain about the police whether they shot the dog or if they did nothing and it had bit a child. Cops can never seem to do the "right thing" in someones eyes no matter what.
