Thanks for the info Clive. We own a split level home and currently have two stair gliders and a series of track lifts. It's very time consuming to get him from floor to floor. I have thought about a conventional elevator, I know they take up a lot of space and aren't cheap, so I never pursued it. The Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator seems like the perfect fit. He didn't even know they existed, and he's always looking for things like this to make our lives a bit easier. I sent him the link for vacuum elevators. I really can't thank you enough ! Janis, it would be your local congressman and State Senators. You can check with their office and ask if they elected a forfeiture of pay during the shutdown.
True 540sam, but in doing some research, a majority of those that elected a gratuitous forfeiture of pay wanted to defer the time off to rectify the budget. I'm still not happy with any of them. I think that many in congress forgot who they are working for.
Actually, they killed the women driving the car. I can't believe she had her 1yr old daughter in the car. I think they there saying she had some mental issues. No, really ! I'm just glad the baby wasn't hurt. It's sad to see that her mother died. I can't help but wonder if this could have been prevented. When I was growing up you just didn't see this kind of stuff. It's a sign of the times !
