What if the people decide that what they would like to do to rest, relax and leave their quotidian cares aside for a few hurs on their day of rest is to sit in the sun, possibly in the company of family and friends and to watch some motorcycle racing?

The NW200 is famous in motor sports circles for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

There may not even be racing on the Sunday. The vote was to allow a contingency plan to be effected if the racing on the Saturday was affected by bad weather. If Saturday is sunny then the final races will occur then.

The question of civil and religious liberties being infringed is a deliberate canard and a grave insult to people whose actual freedom is actually being infringed by actual despots around the world. The author should be thoroughly ashamed of himself.

Besides, I understand that the road is only closed to general traffic after a certain time in the morning and is opened again at certain other times between races. So there should be no problem for those who have hobbies other than watching motorcycle racing attending their meetings.

Oh come on. Would you really rather spend a (usually) sunny day in July cooped up in work, or doing something nice and relaxing with family and friends? There are plenty of ways of avoiding parades etc if you don't want to attend one. How about a picnic somewhere like Gort a Choirce?
