HUH? Union workers do get fired. True, there has to be documented justification, but they're not offered continued employment "no matter what". You must not either work for a union or know folks that do, or you'd know better.
Wow. I have been in the insurance business for 17 years, and this is exactly the stuff we insure against. (One of our clients saying something to a prospective employee and didn't use their heads before saying it.) You definately can and should sue over this behavior - at no cost to you at all. There are attorneys who take these cases on contingencies and there are government agencies that are there to protect you and help you pursue justice against discrimination. I understand Serenity saying "I'd rather work for a living than live off the lawsuit claims of stupid people"...but think of the punishment that went by the wayside. It's bigger than you - you must seek justice to stop this bad behavior from continuing.

I'm talking about a medical reason for the abortion, not just a "I don't want the baby"-abortion. I'm not a doctor, but there are reasons that the delivery would/could kill the mother I think. I just know that 3rd trimester abortions are against the law unless this is the case. Thanks for making me think about this, though. I now am compelled to do some reading on the subject.
HUH?? I was on the Legislative Action Team for Planned Parenthood for 3 years. Your information is so wrong, it scares me. It's EXACTLY why PP has to continue the good fight of EDUCATION. By the way, did you know that abortion services in our state of Oregon only account for about 2% of Planned Parenthood's gross revenue? Your statements are dangerous - please be careful. Well said, Caspertoo. I was just going to respond but you took the words out of my mouth. The only time 3rd trimester abortions are allowed is when a medical professional deems it absolutely necessary to save the life of the mother. Even then (I think) the mother still has the choice. I'll have to do some research on the last part.
I agree. Unfortunately, that's not the law.
Peregrine - what are you so angry about? Interesting. ANYWAY...a DUII is issued if you are IN your car with the keys. It doesn't matter if you're driving or not. If you are in your vehicle with your keys and are intoxicated, whether you're sleeping or whatever, it's a DUII. I think that's a crappy law, but it's the law nonetheless.

Because 15 and 17 year old girls often think it's fun and alluring to hang out with soldiers and drink beer. I was a 15 year old girl once. I know these things. Also, girls that age aren't necessarily thinking "Jeez...I could get raped!". They're more into having fun and flirting and hanging with older boys. Yes, it's naive, but that's why we have an age of consent law...becuse they're naive.
