This is a sad and tired argument. Most of us own vehicles and it is the 2+ ton vehicles that do damage to the road. Not the 150lb bike and rider. Additionally, have you even looked at where most of the money comes from to maintain roads? It's not a gas tax or the tabs you're so concerned about.
Edit: Instead of just giving me a thumbs down, would you care to elaborate why? Is it just because you disagree with me or do you favor the OPs sensationalism?

2) Bike lanes aren't necessarily the safest to be in. Take 2nd Ave in downtown Seattle for example. You have parked cars to the left with passengers who open doors without looking first, you have cars who are trying to make left turns on to the cross street and have to merge into the bike lane, and then you have cars trying to make left turns on red onto 2nd Ave who are only looking for traffic and not cyclists.
Cyclists are allowed to take a lane of traffic if it is safer. Additionally, while I realize this is not the case on Juanita Drive, cyclists can take an entire lane if there are multiple lanes of traffic in the same direction without concern about "slowing traffic"

Additionally, why does it matter if a particular event involved religion? McVeigh, a US born citizen, bombed a US building killing hundreds. Oh wait, he was an EXTREMIST. I'm not saying he was a religious extremist, but he had very strong beliefs against the US government. It doesn't take religion to do that.

Look, my point is that ANYONE can be a terrorist, not just a particular subset of people. The mass media has made it extremely easy to point out one particular group and label them a terrorist and the government plays on this. It's easy to play on someone's fears to control people.

"...Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt..." Deuteronomy 13:13-19 This quote is in reference to one person in a town not believing in God. Let's just kill them all, then.
This has nothing to do with being a Muslim, but rather extremists. They exist in all religious factions and those who feel strongly for/against something - such as those who bomb abortion clinics.
