This website is very informative and prints the truth. Very glad to see Mr. Cress, a veteran, helping others veterans, simply because that is what veterans do, help one another. Beret's off to Senator Burr for his help getting a Medal Of Honor marker for this hero.

city council and chief knew about these black officers last fall and just sat back and did nothing. they have as much to blame as the officer, who appears just to be a THUG himself with a badge. whatever it cost the city, they can't blame anyone but themselves and if they are voted back in office, then the citizens can't blame anyone but themselves either.
regardless of the criminal records, and I hate criminals, the officers were wrong but have been allowed to do it for so long, it was just a matter of time before it would happen. shame it took something like this to bring it out.

once again the county management is talking out of both sides of their mouths. they refuse to make the complaints public so as not to shame the person NOT doing her job. they only care about letting the issue die at the sacrifice of veterans and not shame a dept. head as well, who knows nothing about VA matters, only about where to kiss. county veterans should not let this drop and should push for more and not settle for less. after all, Howle is just wanting to make her 5 more years that she put in an email and the county seems to want to oblige her wishes and forget the veterans, I hope those 12,000 veterans and their families don't forget this come election time.

You can blame the police chief and city manager for this one. City council and police chief were warned last fall about certain black officers(3 of them) who were out of control and handcuffed other blacks for no reason then turned them loose. By not disciplined them, they were allowed to go pass the thin blue line to be later used as scape goats for the elite in command. Now tax payers will have to pay for poor leadership. Puranda thought he was above punishment as it clearly shows he has no respect for the badge or the oath he took. Blame his superiors on this one.

covering their backside is what dept. heads do, regardless of how bad the employee is. why is a non veteran even the supervisor of her, he knows nothing about her job, looks like neither does she based on the news report. hope the county comm. reads the opinion as what it is, CYA report

At a time when 14 county employees will most likely lose their jobs and possible some teachers. this texas ranger sheriff who runs around with a wooden stick horse between his legs, wants us to bail him out of trouble so he don't have to testify as a seating sheriff for alligations against his employee and possibly himself. this is the same sheriff who drives the county car to the beach very frequently wasting tax payers money. this sheriff who knows from tim russell days that the sheriff dept. does not own the cars, the county does. this same sheriff who locked himself up in the jail twice and had to be turned loose. this same sheriff who after elected turned against all those who helped him get there. this list goes on. the county should not give him a dime. this would be a reward for doing misconduct while serving as sheriff. he will go down as the dumbest sheriff in rowan history.

building inspectors are told to do return trips to sites so they can appear busy. this is hurting businessmen and contractors and costing them unnecessary money. why isn't the county utilizing the expensive software bought for the inspectors to keep return trips from happening. It's just a look busy game at taxpayers expense. top heavy in this department.

Pam is correct, once again Rowan lags behind and will lose out. city will now take over and when their program is a sucess, they will rub it in the face of the county.
