Rainforestjames; I have been educated by the NAtional Forest and Park Services on the above Subject Matter. I agree that fire is an essential tool of Nature to both help and destroy an Eco- System. Some of the plants and their seeds need the heat produced by fire to germinate. Fires also cleans out the old and allows the new to grow thus feeding the critters of the forest. My initial comment was done to elicit some kind of response. Thank you all for your responses
In response to above poster whitewings2003; If you live in the county learn how to spell it. CLALLAM. AS FOR WHERE WERE THE COPS? THE GUY THAT NORMALLY IS BALIFF WAS ON VACATION AND ADMIN. DROPPED THE BALL IN NOT COVERING HIS SHIFT. THE SHERIFF SAYS HE DOESN'T HAVE THE MONEY TO HIRE ANOTHER DEPUTY BUT AS A FORMER LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE I AM WILLING TO VOLUNTEER FOR COURT DUTY BUT THEY WON'T TAKE ME. SO YOU CAN SEE THEIR PRIORITIES ARE A LITTLE MIXED UP.
GEE LET ME THINK. DID THEY NOT DO THIS IN ANOTHER NAT'L PARK CALLED YELLOWSTONE? I know all about control burning and such but gee whiz are we waiting for history to repeat itself?
How about we give them a oneway license and send them back to where ever they came from or better yet a country where they don't know the language and see how long they last there.
Sgt. Hausner; As a former member of Law Enforcement may I welcome you back to Duty. Yes, there is a reason you were spared and I am glad that your family understands your need to continue in your line of work. You and your family will be added to my prayer list of those in Law Enforcement and The Fire Service Organizations. Prayers for your safety and those around you. Be safe and keep your head held high enough to see what's coming.
I want to congratulate the WSP. I have to agree that as a professional driver in Washington State I have nothing but high regard for our men and women in Blue. The ones I have encountered have acted very professional and courteous. Once again Congratulations.
