My father had alzheimers. The nursing home almost broke our family. It cost about $200 a day for his treatment which can go on for years. This is a physical ailment which can't be cured. At a certain point, you just can't keep them at home anymore. When they get violent, its just not safe for them or us. Could the government help out with long term care.
