Forcing a decision on the Keystone XL pipeline was a really smart move by the Republicans, to the point where I'm still kind of marveling over it. Two of the President's major bases are split on the issue, so unless he can pull off some major politicking he's facing a pretty sizable reelection setback. I mean, neither the environmental or union lobbies are going to back Mittens but scaling back their campaign contributions isn't exactly great for Obama. That's just my .02 worth of armchair analysis though.

Next thing you know they'll want the right to vote and the ability to wear bloomers in public. Uppity wimmins.

For those of you calling your Senators and Representatives, Propublica has a convenient little page that will show you where your congressperson stands on SOPA/PIPA. Also, in some cases, shows you how much money they took from the TV and Film Industries in the last couple years.

"Senator Kyl, did you know that SOPA will empower the government to come into your home, eat your wheaties and shit on your pillow? Also, you have to sacrifice your first born child to Xenu! This is, of course, not intended to be a factual statement."

My Samsung Galaxy SII has a convenient, pre-loaded Power Savings widget to easily turn on WiFi, Bluetooth, Sync, GPS, etc. I don't know about all Androids, but I had the same widget on my MyTouch, The Galaxy SII also has an Application Monitor widget, which allows you to see and manually end programs running in the background.

Also, I've heard that fewer widgets on the main screens can help extend battery. Don't know if that's true, though.

I had the most insanely vivid dream last night about giant robots attacking Manhattan. My solution was to drive to Ohio because there was nothing there the robots would want, so we hid out in a Walmart. Even awake, that logic is still sound.

Yeah, I'm pretty below the radar, so I'm not too worried about losing my account, but I'd rather wait it out then get involved in all the craziness going on. Lurking lurky lurker am I.

Please tell me their secretaries answered the phone by saying "Thank you for calling Senator John McCain's office, now get off my lawn."

Use ground or finely chopped venison sausage. I used to live with a kid who hunted pretty often, so we got pretty adept at shoehorning venison into food; it's so tender and delicious you could really swap it out in most recipes without consequence.
