I know of a similar dwindling pile of snow down the street from my house. Day after day I saw and wondered same. But not so much this week. I'm going to make a point of looking today.
Obama just finished his Everett speech then the KOMO TV reporter said, as he stepped off the podium to "Hail to the Chief",...they're playing "Pomp and Circumstances".
Now he's off to Medina to schmooze with his super fat cat wealthy contributors. His care and concern for the middle class is so empty!
Hey all of you geniuses out there with great wisdom to say "watch, or teach, your kids...". I have some wisdom for you...SO STRAIGHTEN UP AND LISTEN! All it takes is a moment and children get into trouble. You will discover this shocking reality when you have children! Don't answer the phone or door, don't divert your attention even for a second.
It's too easy to put these tragedies behind us, even normal and healthy. I've personally done this. So I'm thankful of this little reminder. I doubt I'll personally be affected living inland but if I should find something on a trip to the coast next summer and later, I will be more mindful. Maybe it'll be something to followup on or maybe it'll be non-distinct debris, I'll make that call when I see it. No I'm not going to send back a tire, but a family photo is another matter...I'll decide then.
To those who feel the need to interject levity, do remember it's going to happen off the WA coast one day then it won't seem as funny. Thankyou Mr. Ebbesmeyer for reminding us to take a higher road.
So she died entangled under a logjam? A life vest couldn't have prevented that and might cause many more drowning deaths. I think we need a law to make gov't accountable to remove logjams instead of always caring first and foremost about natural salmon habitat.
I have a question if anyone can answer, but it's also my comment. So what good is this verification if I find out my vote wasn't counted? I doubt they'll offer me a 2nd chance. I love the other comments on the stupidity of returning to manual counting, here we are in 21st century with computers that can perform very accurate calculations yet neanderthals want to turn the clock back 70 years because they don't trust :"Diebold". They want to return to the days of highly inefficient and fault prone tabulation. How incredibly stupid.
May God be with the family, giving them strength and faith, in this most difficult time. I pray from the depths of my soul and heart little Lindsey comes home safely soon.
The last day of school is always supposed to be full of joy and excitment. But today turned out to be full of tragedy and grief for this family. I send my deepest condolences to the family today.
I hope Ms. Bishop will soon heal from her loss...my heart goes out to you in your suffering. I also wish our society will soon realize the error of not dealing with hardened criminals with justice and speed.
UNIVERAL HEALTHCARE FOR ALL is the cry...to all of you wanting this entitlement...do I have news for you. It isn't going to include UNIVERSAL ACCESS!!! Just you wait for the moment when they ration services and/or reject your claims.
